Ember Privacy Policy
Effective 1 November 2026.
Ember is built to keep as much as possible on your own PC. This policy explains what stays there, what leaves it, and why. Spawns Gaming LLC is responsible for the information described here. Contact: support@spawnsgaming.com.
What stays on your PC
Speech recognition, Ember's voice, her camera check, voiceprints and remembered faces all run on your computer.
Camera frames are never saved or sent anywhere.
Voiceprints and faces are stored as numbers, never recordings or pictures, and are never sent anywhere.
Answered conversations (the text, your audio and Ember's audio) are saved in Ember's folder on your PC so you can listen back. You can delete any of them.
Your notes, memories, calendar, reminders, people book, settings and keys are stored on your PC. Keys are encrypted with Windows' own protection.
What goes to the AI
To answer you, Ember sends the text of the conversation, plus the notes, memories and tool results needed for that answer, to the AI service you chose:
Ember plan: our server (on Cloudflare) passes it to Anthropic and back.
Your own Anthropic API key: straight to Anthropic, under your own agreement with Anthropic.
Local model: nowhere. It stays on your PC.
Screenshots and photos are sent only when you ask Ember to look at something, for that one question. Anthropic handles this information under its commercial terms and privacy policy and doesn't use API data to train its models by default.
What our server keeps (Ember plan)
A fingerprint (SHA-256 hash) of your licence key, never the key itself.
For each request: the time, the AI model used and the token counts, so your allowance can be measured.
Your subscription's status and its Paddle reference, and your email address if Paddle provides it (used only to resend a lost key or contact you about your plan).
Not what you say to Ember or what she answers. Conversations pass through the server and are never stored there.
Usage records are kept while your plan is active and for up to 24 months after, for billing and tax questions.
Payments
Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, processes your payment and billing details under Paddle's privacy policy. We never see or store your card details.
Phone link
If you pair a phone, messages between it and your PC travel through our relay encrypted end to end. The relay can't read them.
Other things Ember does only when you ask
Web searches and pages you ask about, the weather for the place you set, and project files Claude Code works on are sent to the services that handle them.
We don't sell your information
We don't sell your information, show ads, or share it with anyone except the service providers named above, or when the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing support@spawnsgaming.com. Deleting your server records ends any active licence. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights, including complaining to your data-protection authority.
Children
Ember and the Ember plan aren't intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll post the new version here with its effective date and tell subscribers by email.
